we arrive at our village Homestay by local boat, or during the summer and drier months if you would prefer, it is also possible to reach the village by bicycle.
During your village home stay, you will certainly be made to feel part of the family, and you can enjoy such activities as fruit picking, or maybe enjoy some rice wine while you chat with the locals or, even try your luck fishing!

Day 1: Sai Gon - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho - Homestay (L, D)
08.00 Pick up from your hotel
On the way to overnight? Home stay you will enjoy a short scenic bus trip to My Tho city, here we will board a local boat and visit some of the many islands which make up the Mekong Delta. You will visit scenery villages, visit the fishing port and some coco handicraft shops. There will also be time to enjoy some tropical fruit whilst listening to some of the wonderful music for the local area.
A tour to this area would nor be complete without a trip into the jungle, so you will be taken in row boats down a small canal to visit a local bee-keeping family and can enjoy a refreshing cup of honey tea or mabe some honey wine.
After returning to My Tho there will be time to relax in a small but beatiful Bonsai Garden before you depart for Can Tho. Our journey takes us through some beautiful Vietnamese countryside, and along the way we will also pass a very impressive Australian suspension bridge.
Dinner and Home stay.
Day 2: Cai Rang floating market - HCMC (B, L, -)
we have an early start this morning and will visit the busiest of the Mekong Delta floating markets, Cai Rang Floating Market. Hundreds of vessels gather here every morning to trade all types of fruit and vegetables which are grown in the neighbouring fertile farms.
We will also have the opportunity to visit a local village and see the rice-husking mill as well as a rice noodle making shop, this will certainly provide another chance to discovera littlebit more of the daily lives of the Vietnamese people who call the Mekong Delta their home.
After lunch at a local restaurant we begin our journey back to your hotel in HCMC. Along the way we will visit the Cai Khe market where you will have the opportunity to buy some of the local produce, and will also visit Long Ding Pagoda where you will be able the photograph the making of Incense sticks.
Our tour ends at your HCMC hotel at approx 6.00pm.
